Kantor Gallery is pleased to present a new solo exhibition by New York City based artist Socko (Sae Hoon Jang). The show will be on view at the gallery from June 1 – June 30, 2022.

Pursuit of Happiness is Socko’s reexamination of his first encounter with American culture after moving to Los Angeles, California from Seoul, Korea as a teenager. With big eyes, vibrant color and playful use of texture, Socko’s accent characters brim with personality and charm, subtly capturing early moments on his new journey.

Socko (Sae Hoon Jang) (1993) was born in Seoul, Korea. He studied at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, graduating in 2021. Socko has most recently exhibited work at Lorin Gallery, Los Angeles, and Galerie Zberro, Paris France. Socko lives and works in New York City.
