Kantor Gallery is pleased to present Hidden Gems, an exhibition of new works by Gena Milanesi. The show will be on view from February 26 – Match 21, 2024; opening reception is February 26, 5-8pm.

As a meditation on constant states of change and transformation, Gena Milanesi’s paintings display a kind of cyclical rhythm. The structured, controlled chaos of her compositions double as a metaphor for nature itself. Her materials include charcoal, graphite, oil and oil stick. These mediums build tension across the surface of her paintings, creating a sense of presence, physicality and potency that emanates from the center of each abstract composition. Milanesi lives and works in Los Angeles. She recently presented a solo booth at Untitled in Miami with Anna Erickson Presents. Recent and upcoming group exhibitions include OTI, Los Angeles and Harpers Los Angeles.
